Dear Hosts and Workawayers,

my name is Franziska and I'm from East Germany (Leipzig). I'm 36 years old. I skipped my job and now I'm ready for places I haven't been at before where I get to meet interesting people, practise new skills and languages and enjoy the beauty of nature. I want to learn more about animals and the products from animals, because I'm interested in country life. As a child I was not allowed to keep animals. I can still imagine that I enjoy working with them. I want to learn more about the canadian wild herbs as well as mushrooms.

After graduating from high school I worked as a dental technician. Furthermore I baked delicious bread and sold it at the Christmas market. Together with a friend of mine I also learned how to plaster clay. Besides that I`m a creative head. So I want to explore as much as possible (especially I like to work with my hands). I can make soap and knitted socks and sweaters. I love to cook with everything which is provided by the nature. I like to work with wood. So I built my own kitchen and bed (see photos).

In 2017 I did a basic chainsaw course in germany. So i'm no expert in that, but I'm willing to refresh my kowledge and to improve it.

As I told you already ... I´m a nature-lover (!) and try to live as sustainable as possible. I like to eat vegetarian, but I'm also flexibel, if I know where the meat comes from. I do not like to support intensive livestock farming. Furthermore I am a reliable, mindful and open minded person.

I had English classes for 9 years when I was in school. Unfortunately, that was 15 years ago. Therefore one major motivitation is to improve my englisch. I want to be honest with you. My first hosts should be willing to teach me englisch. This text was written with help of a friend of mine.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In the past I learned how to produce organic soap for body and hair and making deodorant. I have expeirence in binding books. I know a lot of (german) wild herbs and how to use them in terms of cooking and others. Furthermore I love to bake.
