Hi! We are Francesca (Italy) and Samir (The Netherlands), a curious, easy going couple who love slow travel, make new experience and connect with people along the way.
We met while travelling in New Zealand and quickly discovered that we share a love for staying outside in nature, and learning how people live in different parts of the world.
We are both active, adaptable, and happy to help whenever we are needed.
After several years of living, working, and volunteering in different countries, we are now dreaming of Norway. We would love to experience everyday life there, learn from our hosts, and exchange stories, skills, and laughs along the way.
We are tidy, respectful and always up for a shared meal, a chat, or a walk outside.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We’re Samir and Francesca — a friendly, hands-on couple who love travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures. We’re looking for a Workaway in Norway because we’d love to live closer to nature and really experience everyday life there — including the winters — in a simple, authentic way.

Samir is Dutch (native) and fluent in English, currently studying Psychology, and he enjoys combining his studies with meaningful volunteering. He has volunteered for an NGO in the Netherlands supporting immigrants with returning to their home country, and he’s also helped hosts while travelling by doing practical chores like painting, cleaning, and cooking in exchange for food and accommodation. To keep up with his studies, Samir does need reliable internet access during the stay.

Francesca has a strong background in hands-on projects and volunteering: she helped a middle-aged couple with house renovations, supported the setup of a pottery studio, and took part in environmental projects. She also volunteered in a wildlife shelter caring for kangaroos, and in New Zealand she built a raised garden bed and did painting for a host. Together, they’re respectful, reliable, and eager to contribute — happy to help with everyday tasks, gardening, light renovation, and general support while fully embracing the Norwegian way of life.
