Hello everyone!
~ something about me:)
My name is Flora Tichatschek, and I'm from the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. I come from a lively and adventurous family—I've got five sisters, and we all grew up together with our parents in a cozy apartment. Though we've all moved on to our own adventures, we're still very close, thanks to our shared love for traveling.
I moved out six years ago and have been living with three wonderful roommates from university in Vienna, though I'm often exploring new places. I studied landscape planning and landscape architecture with a deep passion for creating sustainable cities. My goal is to contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
I'm also a proud vegetarian, which aligns with my values of sustainability and caring for our planet. That said, I am still open-minded. When I'm not studying or spending time with friends, I seize every opportunity to travel. Traveling has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but I already mentioned that before:)
I've had the pleasure of traveling solo to amazing places like Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Turkey. Through Workaway, I've gained invaluable experiences working in tourism, kitchens, hostels, and even on a chili farm. These adventures have fueled my love for discovering new cultures and meeting new people.
I love traveling, but I also enjoy experiencing cultures more deeply. For example, I lived in Turkey for a year, working in my field of study, which allowed me to truly understand and appreciate the culture. Also if I stay long enought at one place learning the language the best that I can has became kind of a hobby for me.
In addition to my love for travel, I'm a big fan of sports, especially hiking and being in nature. Whether I'm exploring the mountains with my friends or trying out new activities, I find joy in staying active and embracing the outdoors.
I'm excited to continue learning and growing, always seeking out opportunities to contribute positively wherever I go. I'm looking forward to new experiences, meeting new people!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I love animals and being in the nature. I would love to be part of a family or a group. I do a lot of sports and can play the flute and the piano. Singing is also one of my favourite things to do. I am good in languages and taking over responsibilities. I love to get to know new cultures and people.

... so this is my fourth workaway experience and I stayed in Egirdir for a bit more than 3 weeks.
It is a really quite and peaceful place. Amazing landscape!!!! If you are more of an outdoorsy kind of person it is a really coooool place!! But also the city has everything needed!:))

I was volunteering for one month in this hostel and I think it was the perfect place for me to start my journey! The work is mostly general maintenance, checking in and out tourists, sometimes watering the garden and working for one hour in the restaurant from Jorge (10 min away). The… read more
