Hello! I’m Ffi, I’m 26 and I’m from Wales in the UK. I love travelling, learning new skills and contributing to purposeful projects. I love the idea of cultural exchange and love meeting new people.

A super quick summary of my skills:

- Hospitality: I've had many customer service and waitressing jobs, which I have always loved.

- People person: I love meeting new people, especially for, different places and backgrounds (I have a great social battery!).

- Childcare: I've worked at after school clubs and a sleep away summer camp for two summers, leading the division for the 13/14 year old girls. I also taught golf to kids ages 7-16 at the camp.

- Computer skills: I am very good at emails, excel and all things admim following 5 years in the property consulting industry.

- Social media: Confident at running socials media accounts and making content. During COVID-19 I had a food Instagram to keep me busy and gained a good following. I love making content.

- Animals: I absolutely love animals (especially cats, but dogs too of course).

- Housekeeping: I am a professionally trained super yacht stewardess and worked on a 50m yacht in Italy earlier this year. I'm good at housekeeping and guest service.

Friendly: I am very friendly and want to make everyone feel welcome! I love people and always have a smile on my face. I am a good, tidy and considerate guest.

Further details:

I have strong experience in childcare, having worked for two summers at a sleep-away summer camp in the US, where I was responsible for creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for children of all ages. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. I am now in New York with my boyfriend, Marc, where we are working and living with a family (who we met at camp). The father has Parkinson's so we help him around the house and help out with their grandchildren several times a week. We love them and they feel like family to us. We leave at the end of October when our visas expire. Even though it's only America and it's not a very different culture to the UK, the family is Jewish so I have loved learning about their culture and have experienced an unexpected amount of cultural exchange in our every day conversations around the dinner table. *As I am new to Workaway and have no feeedback yet, the family I am currently living with are very happy to provide a reference for me, if needed!*

Professionally, I also bring several years of experience in both corporate and hospitality roles, which has taught me to be reliable, organised, people-focused, and adaptable to all kinds of situations. Whether it's working behind the scenes or directly with guests, I take pride in being helpful, attentive, and solution-oriented. I am very professional and University educated, but I have left the corporate world for a while to travel and seek new experiences! You only live once and every day is a gift.

I'm taking a “gap year” so whether that's through helping with admin, supporting a family, or experiencing a completely different way of life, I'm just seeking to make memories and have fun. I'm happiest when I'm part of a community or team where I can stay active, be useful, and meet new people!

I appreciate good conversation and any opportunity to make a meaningful contribution. I'm respectful, open-minded, and always eager to lend a hand. Looking forward to connecting and sharing experiences through Workaway!

In my spare time, I love staying active and creative — whether that's hiking, journaling, or getting into a good book. I also enjoy cooking (especially trying local food and vegetarian dishes), listening to music, and having relaxed, meaningful conversations over. I love to see new places and explore more than anything. I'm always up for learning something new and love being around people who are passionate about what they do. Whether it's sharing stories around the dinner table or teaming up for a fun project, I’m happiest in good company with good energy.
