“Adventure is out there!” – Up
Hey! We are Fernanda and José, a Brazilian couple in search of new experiences! We believe life is a series of adventures waiting to be embraced, and we’re always ready to dive into new challenges, meet people, and immerse ourselves in diverse cultures.
We are currently living in Dublin, where we’ve spent the past year exploring various opportunities. At the moment, we are working as hosts in hotels, but we’re preparing to leave Ireland soon to embark on new adventures across Europe. Our journey with Workaway has been incredibly rewarding, and we are excited to keep exploring.
About Fernanda
I’m 24 years old and I graduated in History, one of my greatest passions. I love exploring museums and learning about art history, but I’m equally drawn to spending time in nature. In Brazil, I worked as a teacher. Since moving to Ireland, I’ve embraced various roles, including working as a cleaner, barista, and hostess at a five-star hotel, each of which has taught me valuable skills and strengthened my ability to adapt to different environments. I have a genuine interest in manual work and enjoy tasks that allow me to connect with people, whether it’s through offering a helping hand or simply creating a positive atmosphere.
About José
I’m 26 years old and I graduated in Public Administration. I’m a very communicative person, and one of the things I love most is having conversations and connecting with people. I’m passionate about sports and always looking for new physical challenges and outdoor activities. In addition, I have an interest in areas such as project management and social initiatives, and I’m always open to learning new things. I’ve also worked as a barista and a host, roles that have allowed me to further develop my communication skills and engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
Our Motivation
Having already experienced the transformative power of Workaway, we’re eager to continue this journey of growth, learning, and cultural exchange. Our time working in hospitality has reinforced our passion for creating welcoming spaces and making people feel at home. Now, as we prepare to travel across Europe, we’re looking forward to joining new projects and bringing our enthusiasm, energy, and dedication to whatever opportunities come our way—whether it’s manual tasks, childcare, outdoor projects, or hostel and guesthouse management.
We’re very excited to be part of new projects and can’t wait to begin this next chapter!

We have a deep love for quiet mornings spent sipping coffee, watching the world slow down around us, and taking time to enjoy long, peaceful conversations. We dream of learning how to sail one day, even though we’ve never been out on the open sea. Our lives have been filled with adventures, some of which we might not be considered “good” at, but we pursue them for the joy they bring—whether it's playing guitar, singing, dancing, or painting. These little passions remind us that life is more beautiful when we embrace the imperfect and simply enjoy the moments.
