We are partners from Santa Cruz, California who are interested in travelling the world and working with all things natural. We love exploring, making new friends, and working with animals. We are both twenty years old and eager to grow our understandings of various food/agricultural systems, different cultures, and ourselves!
A little more about us...
I'm Sarah and I'm currently studying to be an outdoor educator. I am passionate about working with children, but I find immense joy in the solitude and beauty in nature. I love traveling and have experience with work-travel, studying abroad, and just traveling for fun! I work at an organic farmstand where I am able to provide healthy and sustainable food options to those who often can't afford it. I love my job!
I'm Nicolas, I'm studying environmental studies with a focus in mycology. Wherever I go I'm scanning the ground for fun-guys (ha!), and would love to see what areas outside my comfort zone have to offer. I'm often getting my hands dirty trying to observe the ground, so you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be just as willing to help out with whatever you may need!
We are beyond excited to begin our workaway journey!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sarah: I'm a very artistic person; I love crafting, collaging, painting, and anything that piques my creative interests. I have a lot of experience in farm work, including working in agroforestry and regenerative farming spaces. I like to think of myself as a very capable person, but also a realistic person. If I feel that I can't complete a task, I will let you know and work with you to find another way of accomplishing it.
Nicolas: I am a very quick learner and have lots of experience working in various positions. I'm not the strongest individual, but I like to think I can handle most tasks regardless. I've worked as a caterer moving marble-based umbrellas, a festival employee that helped from start to end, and have lots of experience caring for animals. I prefer working outside, as it is my end goal for my office to be in the forest.
