Greetings! My name is Gwen, I’m a 26 year old woman from the United States. I am captivated by the shade of green that trees take on right before a big rain. I'm moved by big hugs from friends old and new, a beautiful meal made with local, organic food, a song performed by someone allowing themselves to be vulnerable. I love to dance, work hard, grow food, read, care for animals, make new friends, laugh, learn, heal.

I am currently travelling through Eastern Africa via workaway. Things im interested in learning include:
-Cultivation and creation of herbal medicine
-Animal husbandry
-Regenerative farming practices (composting, rotational grazing, cover cropping)
-Beekeeping
-Building an Earthen structure
-Making wine
-Baking Bread
-Working with fermentation
-Restoration of old structures

Basically any sort of homesteading skills!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have several years of farming and landscaping experience. I have helped raise chickens, goats and sheep. I live out of a vehicle I converted myself, and as such have acquired basic carpentry/electrical/plumbing skills. I am comfortable using a variety of power tools as well as operating a skid-steer. Additionally, I have years of experience working with children, and serving in restaurant settings which lends itself to my excellent customer service skills.
