Description
Hi! I'm Eddie, I'm 28 and I live in the west of England. I work in the charity sector researching human rights and environmental abuses, but I'm currently taking a year off to do some backpacking, mainly in South America.
I studied Spanish and Portuguese at university, and have spent time living in Spain and Portugal in recent years. I also have a Masters in Environmental Policy, with a particular focus on food policy. A lot of my work in recent years has been dedicated to eradicating slavery and environmental damage within food supply chains.
I love learning about and experiencing other cultures and ways of life, and sharing my own. I'm really excited about the opportunity to work on one of the many meaningful projects there are on this site. I hope that the skills I have (languages, hospitality, computing, communication, charity work) can be of use to your project. Thanks!!

Hola! Soy Eddie y vivo en el oeste de Inglaterra. Trabajo para una ONG pero estoy tomando un año libre para viajar por América Latina.
Estudié español y portugués en la universidad y en los últimos años he vivido en España y Portugal. También tengo un máster en política medioambiental, centrado en la política alimentaria. Gran parte de mi trabajo en los últimos años se ha dedicado a erradicar la esclavitud y los abusos medioambientales en las cadenas de suministro de alimentos.
Me encanta conocer y experimentar otras culturas y formas de vida, y compartir la mía. Me entusiasma la oportunidad de trabajar en uno de los muchos proyectos interesantes que hay en Workaway. Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I speak English and Spanish fluently, Portuguese to a high level, and basic French and Italian. I have strong computing skills (including excel etc.) gained from years working in research/financial jobs. I've spent a lot of time working in hospitality (restaurants, cafés, conference management), and I love to cook. I've also spent time teaching English and Spanish. I'm outgoing and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. I learn quickly and try my best in everything I do!

My main passion is for learning new languages and discovering new cultures. Outside of that, I love to hike (recently completed the Camino de Santiago), play tennis and listen to/play music. I am taking a year off to travel, but used to work in the charity sector investigating human rights abuses.
