Currently a Master's student, looking to do some volunteering during my vacations. Planning to travel & volunteer in September & October in the Middle East and Caucasus regions!

Description

I'm 23, currently a Master's student studying Sustainable Development. I’m an open-minded, high-spirited and active person who loves the outdoors. I particularly love hiking, running, bouldering and football/most teamsports! I love animals, being in nature and all things related to sustainability (taking care of the planet & oneself) :) I have work experience in the hospitality industry (as front desk & administrative worker), in the service industry (as waitress & bartender) and in public relations (social media, content creation, etc). My Workaway experiences include volunteering on a permaculture farm and at eco hostels and lodges (mostly in Colombia). Through my Workaways, I have experience doing general maintenance, assisting with day-to-day tasks, cleaning, gardening, working on different eco projects, etc.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m Dutch but was born and raised partially in the Netherlands and partially abroad. Having lived in Zambia, Sudan and North Macedonia, I believe I’ve been privileged enough to experience a multitude of cultures and acquiring a deeper understanding of different places, people, cultures and traditions. As a result, I’m open-minded, accepting and constantly eager to learn!

I love teaching and helping! Firstly, my English and Dutch proficiency is native, whilst my Spanish is at a beginner’s level. I am very open to teaching languages as well as engaging in language exchanges to improve my own skills as well as others’!

Furthermore, I have a number of volunteering experiences from both my time in school as well as in my own time. My most extensive experience was volunteering (online) for two years as PR member and then head of PR for an Ethiopian-based NGO striving for better female equality and education in the form of hospitality school facilities & training.
