Hello!
We are Emily and Lawrence, from Bristol in the UK :)

We are eager to connect with new people, cultures and ways of life whilst travelling in Nepal and India later this year. We both value having a sense of community and belonging and this is something we are trying to find more of in our day to day lives. We are fairly sociable people who enjoy engaging in interesting conversations, but are equally happy being in companionable silence with our heads in a good book.

Emily - I currently work as a primary school teacher which brings me lots of joy! Outside of this I spend lots of time at our allotment where we are trying our hands at growing fruits and vegetables - and learning lots as we go. I also enjoy sewing, kniting, fermenting and pickling - often making things for my family and friends. I read most days, especially novels set in countries and cultures unfamiliar to me.

Lawrence - I work in mental health services as a therapist, although I hope to use my time travelling to have a break and think about where to go next in my working life. I am interested in politics and philosophy and am part of different activist causes within Bristol. I enjoy having conversations with people who might have different opinions and perspectives to my own. To relax I'm usually running, hiking or spending time in nature.

The countryside is our happy place and we are looking forward to exploring new parts of the world - as well as meeting interesting people along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We have an allotment where we grow our own vegetables from seed. We are still fairly new to this but are very enthuasiastic and eager to learn more!
We are both fairly fit people and are very happy to get stuck in with a variety of tasks, including work that may require strength/good level of fitness.

Emily is a qualified primary school teacher so has lots of experience working with children in an education capacity.
Lawrence is a qualified therapist.
