Description

Hello! My name is Elyse, and I’m a Southern Californian girl with a strong desire to explore new places and cultures. After spending the past two years gaining experience in the dental field and completing my dental school applications, I’m excited to pursue new adventures and immerse myself in diverse communities through travel and work exchange.

As a former collegiate athlete, I like to maintain a very active lifestyle and continuously challenge myself with physical activities. Incorporating both high-impact and low-impact activities into my routine, I enjoy outdoor adventures such as surfing and slacklining, but I also love activities that foster creativity and mindfulness, like yoga or hiking. When I’m not moving, I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and reading books or listening to music.

Through this program, I hope to gain meaningful cultural experiences while contributing my energy and skills to projects that benefit the host community. I’m a curious individual eager to learn from others, meet fellow travelers, and develop new perspectives. Ultimately, I want to grow both personally and professionally and return home with new insights and lasting connections.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a hands-on learner, teacher, and doer with strengths in interpersonal relations, problem-solving, and active listening. I have experience working with children as a substitute teacher and childcare staff member, where I have honed my communication skills and attention to detail. Additionally, I have managed sports teams and worked in dental administration, which has greatly enhanced my organizational and leadership skills.

I am looking to improve my DIY and carpentry skills. As a independent person, I recognize the value of these skills but have not yet dedicated enough time to developing them.

I am excited to contribute my skills and knowledge to a wide range of tasks, adapting to the new environments and opportunities I am exposed to.
