Description

Hey,
We are Elyne and Romane (elyrom ;)), two best friends from France who decided to experience new adventures and discover the world differently.

To learn a little more about us :

Romane likes :
- being constantly on the move and stimulated. - I can’t sit around doing nothing for too long.
- change ! - I don’t like getting stuck in a routine.
- soccer, swimming and athletics especially. - I enjoy many different sports and I love learning new ones.

Elyne likes :
- animals, especially dogs. - I grew up with dogs since I was born. I had three in total. Two females Yorkshire Terriers who were with me throughout my childhood, and a Brittany Spaniel who was by my side throughout my teenage years. They gave me so much love. I love looking after dogs, playing with them, and taking care of them.
- sports. - I played badminton for a long time and loved it, and I've also done Zumba. I like to push myself and always try to improve.
- spending time with her family. - It's very very important to me.

We both like :
- nature, flowers and everything the world has to offer to us.
- music. - It's a way to convey emotions, bring people together and unify.
- savoring every little thing in life.
- speaking English and Spanish and discovering new cultures.

We both love meeting new people, learning from every culture and sharing meaningful moments. Being volunteers felt like the perfect way to travel while being useful and connected to others.

What brings us hapiness ?
Discovering new landscapes, sharing stories and experiences around a meal, feeling useful and part of a team, laughing, learning and living fully.

Our best qualities :
We're are both curious, open-minded and always motivated to help with any kind of project, from taking care of animals, gardening, taking care of childrens, etc.
We are lucky to be here so let’s make the most of it !

Our background, hobbies, and travel experiences :
At middle school we travelled to London and Barcelona for school trips.
With our family, we discovered many places in France in a mobile home, in a tent, in a car, at friends’ houses, in the north or in the south, at the beach or in the mountains. Now, we would like to discover other places and cultures.
In September, we went to Paris and Rome with two other friends. We enjoyed these trips so much and are looking for our next adventure.

We are crazy about soccer. Here, we support the Nantes Football Club (16th in League 1). I (Romane) work at La Beaujoire stadium as a receptionist and I (Elyne) come to watch the games and support the team. Being supporters of this club brings us a lot of joy (and sometimes pain). Nantes' fervor is something to be experienced ;)

Why do we want to travel and what we hope to gain from these experiences ?
Overthinker, curious and open-minded are the three words that best describe us. That's why it's obvious for us to travel all around the world.

In one lifetime, we don't have time to try out every job in the world so Workaway is the solution we found to try as many activities as possible. We like speaking English and Spanish sooo much so travelling it’s the perfect way to improve ourselves.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are very autonomous and we like to take initiatives. We are able to do manual activities. As we live in the countryside, we love gardening and being outside.

We live in a region called "the vineyard" close to Nantes. So, we enjoy walking along the paths and meet animals.

We are learning fast and we are also very organized.

We would be very happy if we could teach you some words or sentences in French and if we could share a part of our culture.
