Hi!

My name is Elvira and I'm 25 years old. I'm outgoing and social, but also enjoy to be alone in my down time and work on my projects. Currently I enjoy knitting, crocheting, painting and learning the japanese language. I thrive when I'm learning new skills or facts.

Most of my life I've been a student, I just finished my bachelor in Chemistry and Biochemistry and now I'm taking a gap year to travel in Japan. Workaway is a great opportunity for me to do what I want during my travels: meet people and learn about the culture from locals.

I can thrive in any type of job as long as I get to connect with the people I work with. Farm work would be ideal for me as I want to see the country side as well as the big cities. My hometown (Its called Ås and you can see my childhood home garden in my photos) is small and known for its agriculture, so I feel at home at places surrounded by fields and the sound of bugs and birds.

Fun fact: when I was around 13 I decided I would never fly again, because of the environment, except for when I would go to Japan in the future, and thats now!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Language: fluent in english, norwegian and swedish. I know basic german and I am currently learning japanese.
- I have no certificate for it, but I could definetely teach my fluent languages

Education: in high school I did ballett and modern dance, now I just finished my bachelors degree in Chemistry
- maths, physics, chosen special skill in quantum chemistry, programming

Job experiences:
- food store
- barista
- cook and waitress
- handling of exam papers for the university, sending them out to both students and professors
- representative for the university, visiting high schools and talking about the study program

Personal skills:
- using simple gardening tools (I've helped my mom in her garden, its very big and requires a lot of work🍓)
- making meals for my friends (I like to do norwegian and italian cooking)
- hobby skills such as knitting, pottery, crocheting, painting with acrylics, making bad music in garage band 😆
- I am a personal hairdresser for some of my friends, not professional at all, but it turns out ok
- I fostered cats for a year, took care of them and helped them get comfortable with humans, I looove animals🥰
- I've helped out as a volunteer in a kindergarden, I enjoy spending time with children.
- I'm running my friends pottery instagram to promote her products, and I've been running social media accounts and done graphical design for other companies as well (I don't have an education in this, I just enjoy it)
