Description
Hi everyone!
We are Jara (pronouns: she/her) and Elli (pronouns: she/her). We are both 24, from Berlin; we have been living vegan for several years and are committed to animal advocacy. We haven’t spent time at an animal sanctuary before, but we want to change that this summer. That's why we are new to workaway :)
We are both motivated and eager to learn new things and contribute our energy.
In our lives in Berlin, we both work in the social services sector. Jara works in the field of protection against violence, and I (Elli) work in self-help support. Regarding how we can help at the sanctuary, we are open to a wide range of tasks: We don’t mind getting our hands dirty, we love working outdoors in nature, we would happily provide whatever the animals need, and we could also cook up something delicious and vegan for the community. We’d also be keen to try our hand at some manual work and learn new skills!
We have a lot of experience traveling together and using platforms like Couchsurfing. Which is why we now how to be respectful guests and also offer our help and support around the places we stay at. We love getting to know new inspiring people and their lives.
Usually we did a lot of adventurous traveling together with our bikes. We are used to being spontaneous, flexible and creative about solving problems.
We are looking forward to get to know you and we send lots of love from Berlin!
