Description

Hello! My name is Ellie Ellis and I will be traveling to Greece (and possibly Spain) around New Years with my friend Bridget. We are going to Leonidio for a women's climbing retreat from December 28th to January 6th. We are excited to integrate into Greek culture and volunteer our time before the trip. (And doing some climbing before the trip is also our goal!)

Here are some things we believe we could offer to a Workaway host:
- I am about to finish my PhD in soil science - I'm a total nerd about soil, geology, and ecology. I'm not an expert farmer/gardener, but I can offer a lot of theoretical knowledge! And I'm so eager to learn from others. I am also a certified permaculture designer.
- Bridget works for an organic agriculture market development NGO and has lots of experience helping farmers connect with buyers. She is super passionate and knowledgeable about organic ag!
- We are both intermediate Spanish speakers and eager to pratice!
- We both can handle moderate heavy lifting/ challenging physical labor.
- We both love climbing, trail running, yoga, and healthy living.
- I have restaurant experience (cooking, management, safe food prep, etc.) I am passionate about vegetarian/ organic cooking, but can definitely satisfy all tastes.
- We are both eager to learn and willing to work hard.
- I have experience designing/teaching environmental education programs to 6th year students.
- We are both clean, easy going, and respectful. Very open minded and receptive to new ideas. We are not complainers and are happy in most situations
- I love meeting new people, learning about other cultures, and sharing experiences!!!
