Description

Hello! I am Danusa, a 46-year-old Brazilian, lawyer and passionate about exploring the world. Currently, I am on a long journey, approximately 2 years, with my family: my husband, Fernando (49 years old), who is a mechanic engineer and entrepreneur, and our children, Leonardo (11 years old) and Gabriela (8 years old).

We are traveling the world in our motorhome, affectionately named Plato (the philosopher!). Since the beginning of 2024, we have traveled through the USA, Baja California, and are now exploring the interior of Mexico. Our plan is to continue our journey through Central America to Panama, and next year, embark on an adventure of several months through Africa.

This is not our first big trip! In 2010 and 2011, Fernando and I went on a road trip around the world, visiting 48 countries on all continents. It was a transformative experience, allowing us to absorb diverse cultures and lessons that we carry with us to this day. Now, we are reliving this adventure, but this time with our children, so they can also experience the wonders of the world and broaden their horizons.

We are passionate about people, nature, and animals, and we are looking to participate in projects that involve these themes. Our family loves outdoor life, and both Fernando and I are ready to learn and contribute to projects that promote sustainability, environmental preservation, community support, or animal care. Leonardo and Gabriela share this passion and are excited to join us in this experience!

We have always been fully committed to the projects we get involved in. I, Danusa, have worked for over 20 years at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) and am currently on leave while we travel. I am also passionate about photography and can help update photos and videos for websites and social media. We have a drone that can be used to generate high-quality images.

Fernando has founded two companies and worked in others during his nearly 30-year professional career. As a mechanical engineer, he has many skills in construction and equipment maintenance.

Our travel routine demands a great deal of dedication to the family and the logistics of a worldwide expedition: we are homeschooling our children, handling all the tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing, driving, planning, maintaining the truck, and dealing with unexpected issues that arise along the way. We are full of will and effort, and we are ready to contribute significantly to any project we have the opportunity to be a part of.

Therefore, we are very excited to collaborate, meet amazing people, and continue learning throughout this journey.

We are currently traveling through Mexico and are able to volunteer for any project in the central or southern part of the country. We do not require a place to sleep, as we can sleep in our motorhome. We can also cook and bathe in it. For that, we would need electricity and water to be provided, along with a place to park the truck. We have solar panels, but sometimes we need external power to use the equipment we require without overloading the battery.

This is a brief summary of who we are! We would love the opportunity to participate in a volunteer project.

Danusa - Can help with animals, gardening, cleaning, construction, cooking and taking nice photos and videos. I am good at learning and I can cooperate with a lot of different activities.

Fernando - Can help with maintenance, construction, gardening, cleaning, taking care of animals and teaching sports. I am also good at learning and I can cooperate with a lot of different activities.
