Description

My name is Yimin, and I'm currently a master's student at the University of Tokyo. I will be graduating in September and would love to spend some time with workaway hosts before I embark on my journey as an application engineer at a Japanese IT company.

What sets me apart is my diverse educational background. While my bachelor's degree focused on Philosophy at Peking University, I decided to delve into Sociology for my master's studies. Although I didn't formally study computer science, I have a keen interest in the field and have acquired practical programming skills along the way.

Having been born in China, I've had the wonderful opportunity to travel extensively across several Southeast Asian and European countries. This exposure to different cultures has nurtured my passion for languages. I am fluent in English and have a basic understanding of Japanese, German, and French. I would be thrilled to exchange language skills with you.

I strongly believe that life is defined by the experiences we accumulate. To expand my knowledge of the world and explore the true meaning of life, I am always eager to seek new experiences. After years of writing humanities and sociological theses or programming, I am now eager to immerse myself in something more "tangible." Whether it's cleaning, planting, or fixing things, I am excited to contribute my energy and learn new practical skills through meaningful workaway experiences.

I look forward to meeting hosts who are open to sharing their culture, knowledge, and skills. Let's embark on a memorable journey of cultural exchange and personal growth together!

1. At the age of 10, I had the honor of representing 'The Children's Conference for the Environment' held in conjunction with COP 10 at Aichi.
2. I hold a black belt in Taekwondo.
3. I like art films that challenge conventional storytelling and explore thought-provoking themes. I am drawn to the works of directors who push creative boundaries. Similarly, I enjoy reading Calvino-style novels that offer unique perspectives and engage my imagination.
4. One of my favorite things is making people laugh during conversations.
