Hello Everyone! My name is Dennis, an easy-going, good-natured, and artistic individual.

I am an avid traveler, naturally adventurous and outgoing, and I am just filled with excitement over the possibilities of fully immersing myself in new cultures, enjoy their food, and music, learning skills, and meeting amazing people from all over the world!

I would describe myself as a person with an open mind, I am versatile, conscientious, and able to take care of my surroundings. I am told that I am calm and patient. I possess an innate desire to try new things and an eagerness to learn and I especially love to help people. I previously worked in the Hospitality industry for 10 years, both in the back and front of the house, and currently teach English to elementary students in Spain, including private lessons in their homes.

I’m very autonomous and thrive both working independently and with a team.

In my free time, I like to draw, paint, go on a mountain trek, connect with nature, ride a bicycle/motorcycle, photography, or relish the magic of reading a good book and watching films.

I want to travel more, grow more as a person, and discover what stirs the soul. The dream for me is to build a life that is rich in time and home-grown resources, with a healthy balance of work and leisure, community and time alone. Through this platform, I can foster friendships, take inspiration from the lives and goals of people, and learn practical skills to get me to realize the dream life for myself too. I am dedicated to contributing my best efforts while learning from the unique perspectives of the people I meet.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am almost always independent, basic household routines come naturally to me. From cleaning, laundry, cooking, maintenance, and fixing minor things around the house. I'll be glad to lend a hand and do it well.

I worked in quick-service restaurants for 10 years. Working both in the back and front of the house as a Quality Officer, I possess high attention to detail. Working in a fast-paced kitchen has taught me a great deal about efficiency and giving my very best to customers. I love cooking, Cooking authentic recipes with a local will be such an invaluable experience. I can also cook and teach some recipes from my country.

Having a natural inclination to arts, I'm drawn to DIY, crafts, and projects that involve building. I did the renovation of my room back home, planning, handling tools, carpentry, painting etc. I try to learn from videos on things I don't know. It was such a fulfilling project.

I have a knack for photography and videography and I also dabble in social media content creation.

As a kid, I used to be around my grandfather helping him plant local vegetables and tend to his garden. I have a bachelor's in Food Science and took up crop science as an elective, so I had experience getting my hands dirty, from weeding, getting the soil ready, planting, etc. though I’m not so sure I’ve retained the science behind it. Haha

I'm currently an English language assistant teaching English to kindergarten and elementary kids in Spain. I also do private tutoring in their homes and online, for Japanese students. I can teach your family English.

I love animals and pets, I've lived with dogs and cats my whole life. Working with your lovely pets will be an absolute joy.

I've poured myself into some volunteer work back home such as mangrove planting, mobile reading library, and helping victims of natural disasters. This was a yearly commitment for me.

I am still relatively new to Workaway, and I wouldn't want to overstate my level of proficiency, but as in all areas of my life, I make sure to do things thoroughly and with careful attention. I may lack expert-level skills in some areas but I think I make up for it with common sense, autonomy, and an eagerness to learn, work hard, and apply myself to a worthwhile project.

Beyond that, I try to maintain a positive outlook in life and take experiences as valuable learning opportunities.

I love nature and adventure, exploring hidden gems and historical places. I love to be around free-spirited, kind, and fun individuals, learn from people, and live life to the fullest.

Art is the love of my life, I love painting especially watercolor, and digital art, and would love to learn other disciplines. I enjoy films and books that evoke a deeper look at life.

I eat both meat and veggies.
I know how to drive but I don't have an International License.
Also, I have health insurance so no worries.
