Description

I am a clear-eyed and big-hearted human looking to learn from others, make meaningful connections to people and the Earth, and use my mind and body in enriching ways.

Some things that bring me alive are: nature (lakes, rivers and oceans; birds and bugs; the sky); books (essays, poetry, and scientific non-fiction especially); sailing; music; creative people, projects, and communities.

I recently finished my undergraduate studies and since then have worked in outdoor education, healthcare research, sailing, and the service industry.

I'm especially interested in experiences that will complement my interests in ecology, regenerative land care, Earth sciences, and where I can learn new applied skills (e.g., building techniques, mechanical repairs, navigation, documentary)

Happy to do physical work outdoors, all weather all projects. Keen to learn and energetic.

I am experienced in things like:

- teaching/tutoring

I have an eclectic skillset but my main virtues are curiosity, good-humor, and kindness. You can rely on me to help in meaningful ways and exhibit a depth of care for places and projects.

I'm quick to take to new skills and a good sport when it comes to taking care of a space, whether it's a piece of land or a boat.

I write well and read voraciously, learning fast and passionately about the environments that I'm in and the projects I'm on.

I've been trained in Advanced Wilderness First Aid, I'm certified to use marine VHF radios, I'm a mental health Crisis Responder.

I also like to take photographs.
