Description
Hi! We are Romain and Claire, both from Switzerland. About us : Romain is 37 years old, working as an engineer in water infrastructures and has traveled a lot during his life. And I’m Claire, 29 years old, I finished a master in environmental sciences, worked a bit in that field and now I work temporarily as a sub-teacher in elementary schools. I did some traveling too and always included a workaway experience in my plans and loved every one of them! I’ve worked in hostels, lodges, eco sanctuary, in a hobby farm where I’ve done lots of gardening and general maintaining.
We have a general idea of where we’d like to go but don’t have definite plans yet. We've started in Sao Tome, we did Namibia and are currently in South Africa for a couple of months at least!
We’re positive hard working people, easy going and not complicated. We love to meet new people and if there’s the opportunity, we like to go out and discover around but don’t mind quiet evenings as well. We love food and eat pretty much everything. We love hiking/trekking and Romain is a climber. I did a lot of horse riding/trekking. We’re used to having animals around, and we both have big families so used to being around children.
We’d love to include one or multiple workaway experiences during our trip as we like to discover places like that, and we’re eager to learn new things/skills, get involved and help out as much as we can.

We both speak french and english. Romain speaks spanish and I speak a little bit of italian. We'd love to learn some portuguese!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I (Claire) worked many different little jobs, I'm good with people, handled taking care of guests in hostels and lodges, worked in bar, likes to cook, like to garden and want to learn more about it, love animals (I used to ride horses for a long time, took care of animals in general), general maintenance/fixing/painting (not the most skilled as I don't have a lot experience but always up for the task and eager to learn more manual work!)
Romain is an engineer in potable water, can also cook, fixes things (not the most skilled either but likes to do it and also eager to get better, and really creative when it comes to finding a solution, even for manual work :)).
We're both happy to help and get involved in whatever task you throw our way! Both are good drivers and licensed.
