Hi there! I’m Cindy :-) I’m 34 years old and have a background in finance and startups and have been in NYC for the past 11 years. I was born in Seoul, Korea but grew up in Los Angeles, California (since age 2!). I’m taking a bit of a breather from work at the moment and would love to spend some extended time abroad to embrace slow living while keeping busy by contributing to something outside myself! I would love anything involving working with my hands a bit.

I love traveling and have been all over for personal travel and work (just got back from spending a month in Nicaragua!), staying active (running, yoga, barre), reading, art and design, cooking and wellness / spirituality. I absolutely love a good farmers market and food shopping gets me excited! I would love to help out with any cooking or meal prep if there is a need. I love discovering new ingredients and ways to prepare food, and the camaraderie that comes from that :) I am also seeking to just spend some more time in and connect with nature a bit.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a hard worker, detail oriented and pride myself in doing a good job with everything I do! I think I’m pretty good at figuring out processes and work flow so I think that’d translate well to any sort of physical task. I learn fast and love learning new things!

I think I’d be helpful with general household tasks and can cook a bit. Always happy to help. I’d love some experience working outside as well and wouldn’t mind getting my hands dirty a bit. I’m handy and have done a lot of work on my apartments throughout the years (assembling and building furniture, putting up many types of shelves and hanging things, small repairs, etc.) and am very organized.

I have some experience with and aptitude for art and would love to help out with any decorating, DIY or small art projects of any kind. Recently I’ve taken an Anatomy and Figure Drawing course at New York Academy of Art and a Spatial Design course at Pratt.

I also have experience as a math tutor to kids ages 4-18 (some experience in high school as a private tutor, a summer during college at a math academy and then volunteering in Ghana) and enjoy breaking down concepts and using creative ways to help tackle teaching a subject. It’s truly a learning experience for both tutee/student and tutor/teacher! Although I’ve tutored math, I love languages and literature, and I’ve always had a natural facility with grammar. I would have no problem with teaching English if that’s something you’re interested in.

During my time in NYC I have also spent time as a volunteer as a SAT tutor for high school students and at a soup kitchen serving and doing meal prep.

If you need any help with anything business related, I can also lend some help here if that’s relevant. I have worked with management teams of big corporations to startups on a wide range of key strategic transactions and investments in my investment banking and private equity days, have experience building a startup of my own, and have built out the finance teams to scale for 2 startups.
