Hi there. I’m Yuyan, and I'll finish my Master's degree in England this December.

I would describe myself as a kind, calm, and thoughtful person. I tend to listen more than I speak. I’m empathetic and good at understanding others’ feelings, and I'm always happy to offer support and encouragement.

I have a strong passion for art and music. I love playing the piano, painting, and literature. I can also play the ukulele, harmonica and ocarina. Currently I'm teaching myself the cello.

I really enjoy travelling. After three Workaway experiences, I’ve come to appreciate a slower, more meaningful way of travelling — staying in one place for a while, connecting with locals, and experiencing everyday life. They've also made me more confident and improved my ability to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds.

I'm rooted, but I'm flow.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

● Creativity & Arts
Creativity is a big part of my life. I enjoy painting, handmade crafts, and artistic projects, especially traditional Chinese landscape painting and seal carving. I'm quite good at designing and making creative items. During my previous Workaway in France, I designed a swan mosaic and made decorations for a party, including carving words onto stones that combined English, French, and Chinese calligraphy.

● Housekeeping
I’m a clean and tidy person and I enjoy keeping spaces comfortable and organised. I’m always happy to help with light household tasks.

● Childcare & Creative Activities
I really enjoy spending time with children. I'm patient, easygoing, and happy to help with drawing, crafts, creative activities, and language practice.

● Cooking
I enjoy cooking and presenting food with creative plating to make it both delicious and visually appealing. I like baking too and I'm good at making cookies, Basque cheesecake, and Snow skin mochi.

● Housesitting
