Description
Hello, my name is Chad and I live in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. I recently graduated from a master's in Philosophy and now have some time to travel! Between April 21 and May 22 I will be travelling to Japan for the first time, and it will also be my first experience with Workaway. Besides visiting the beautiful places that Japanese cities have to offer, I would love to learn more about the local habits and countryside culture of Japan and Workaway seems like a great opportunity for that. In addition, I also just started learning Japanese so I'm willing to try and communicate in Japanese too. I'm very much looking forward to meeting you!

Since I will be travelling in Japan, I would love to learn more about the language. I'm also a big fan of Brazilian music so over the past year I have been learning Portuguese too. In case you are interested in learning Dutch or English, I'm happy to help with that!Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

I studied Composition & Music Production for my bachelor's and I freshly graduated from a master in Philosophy. During my master's I particularly did a lot of research on music and how it relates to developments between different cultures, but I'm interested in arts and cultures in general.
Besides working with different kinds of musical instruments and contributing to various art projects as a musician, composer and producer, I mainly work as a sound technician at a small venue for concerts and theatre performances. Since I have some experience in DIY-ing, working with electronic equipment and occasionally repairing them, I could offer technical knowledge and help. At my home, we have also recently started growing fruits and vegetables in our garden so I have been getting into gardening as well. I also love cooking so I'd be happy to help with making and preparing meals too.
In general, I'd say I'm interested in Art projects or Eco and Sustainability projects, but I'm definitely open too other projects that are in some way related to either of them. In particular projects that involve working outside!Âge

Autres infos...
In my free time I love taking a lot of time for cooking, hiking, biking, practicing instruments (I play bass, guitar, drums and a little bit of keys), visit museums and discovering cool movies at our local arthouse cinema in Nijmegen. Due to my work, I am lucky to witness a lot of great concerts and theatre performances. The jazz shows in particular are usually amazing, but outside of my work I also love going to concerts of all different kinds of music.
I am generally a calm and introverted person, but I like being social with new people too. It is important to me to have good interactions with different kinds of people and I also really value that with all the different people that I work together with. I had the pleasure of working at great and diverse, but sometimes hectic places so I'm used to working hard and keeping my head cool in chaos.Informations complémentaires
