Hello! My name is Cassidy and I'm 24 years old, from Canada!

I am an extremely bubbly and energetic person, who loves anything outdoors, or people related. I have a degree in global and international studies, and have gained experience working in tourism, non-profits, park maintenance, and working with the public. I love spending my time outdoors and being active, meeting new people, and volunteering my time in a meaningful way. Hiking, camping, snowboarding, engaging and getting to know different people, live music are all some of my favourite things.

I have always been curious about living in different parts of the world, and exploring different lifestyles while also being able to contribute to some sort of meaningful project. I am looking for the chance to connect with new people, learn new skills and help out with local projects and organizations as much as I can!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Growing up I have had many physically demanding jobs such as working for park maintenance, doing landscaping and general building upkeep. I have worked in garden centers, outdoor gear stores, restaurants, and an eco-tourism company. Here, I had experience booking tours for guests, and accommodations. I quickly learned that I loved working with the public and having a job where I get to meet new people and chat on the daily. I have strong customer service skills, and love engaging with the public, staying busy, and being able to make someone's day brighter.

After getting my degree in global and international studies, I started gaining more experience in the non-profit sector. Working in various office settings I gained several essential admin skills, as well as learning how to manage volunteers. I have also been an avid volunteer for years. I am always looking for some kind of organization where I can put my time into that reflects my interests, and helps the local community in some way. I have volunteered with my local outdoor gear library, with the Canadian Wildlife Federation, local food pantries, the Open Food Network, and more. I love volunteering and would love to expand that to more parts of the world.
