Hi! I’m Carmen, I’m 24 years old and I am a recently graduated urban planner and sociologist. I come from Valencia (Spain), but have been living abroad since I’m 18.
Passionate about nature, sustainability, learning new artsy and DIY skills, I am looking forward to travel as a workawayer this summer, to share knowledge and experiences with other warmhearted people from this community.
Right now, I reached a turning point in my life, where I really want to reconnect with projects committed with sustainability, that share care ethics and anti-capitalist practices, where I could bring in my passion and skills, and also learn new things :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
AGROECOLOGY AND AGRICULTURE:
- I have some farming / gardening experience working in community gardens (Poitiers and Valencia)
- Support in agroecological projects in Mexico City in the framework of my masters thesis
- 2 Week permaculture course and 1 month volunteering at the farm Piano Bee (apiculture, fruts and vegetables seeding and harvest, biofertiliser production, Bokashi compost production…)
COOKING AND HOUSE-KEEPING:
- I love to cook vegan/vegetarian dishes and share them with others
- I am a very clean person and I have some previous experience working in grocery shops and cafés (customer services, cleaning and organization...)
- Basic sewing skills
HANDLING KIDS :
- I also have experience and I love handling kids, as I have worked as a windsurfing and watersports instructor at summer camps since I’m 16 years old :)
- I have some previous experience as sporadic baby-sitter and providing support with homework to children aged 7 to 15
WORKSHOPS AND COURSES:
- I have experience preparing and facilitating awareness raising workshops related to ecological topics

I am a very curious person, always wanting to learn new stuff :)
I am passionate about yoga, bouldering and water sports. I also love to dance (took some lessons, but mostly love enjoying myself and improvising). I also love art, literature and long philosophical talks, I also enjoy a lot crafty stuff (collage, painting, pottery…). Anything I can do to reconnect with my body and its creative power.
I think i am quite an activist person, and try whenever I can to engage with my community and its struggles. I like discussing social justice, intersectionality, feminism(s), environmentalism, decolonial thought, antispeciesm, and love engaging with people that share similar values.
I love to travel, these last years I’ve been moving around between Valencia, Paris, Berlin, Mexico City and Marseille, and I am seeking to discover new places and cool people along the way.
In general, I love letting myself be surprised by life and whatever it brings to me, I love meeting new people and sharing our views and values around a drink or a good meal :))
