Greetings Workaway! After a too-brief stint in Vermont, I am residing in the Hudson Valley, NY, USA. I am currently an apprentice on a biodynamic dairy farm, and I am looking to get out of the US and explore. Meeting people of different cultures, working hard, helping others and having adventures large and small is my goal. To set my sights on new things each day is what I seek. I am mostly rubbish with technology, and prefer a handwritten letter any day. I offer up my ability to work hard and stick to commitments, to be reliable, curious, kind, maintain an open mind and share joyful experiences with others. I generally prefer quieter environments, but also love all sorts of music, laughter and a good story. Learning new things, having eye-opening experiences and coffee are three of my favorite things!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Milking cows :) I've been working on biodynamic/organic dairy farms for the last 3 years- rotational grazing (so much fencing!), milking cows, skid steer and tractor experience, compost management
Hospitality! I've worked in food and beverage most of my life (serving, cooking, tending bar, washing dishes, catering, events, dining hall, parties large and small, cash register, cafe barista, hotel front desk)
Sales and retail experience including both buying and selling (beer industry, Whole Foods Market)

I am very curious/interested in gardening (vegetables and flowers) but have only a little experience. I am immensely drawn to biodynamics and hope to gain experience in food sourcing/CSA's. The vital community aspect of farming is something I hope to be a part of during my travels. Let's get these mitts dirty!
I am also seeking language-immersive experiences. I have studied french, and would really like to practice spanish, german and french (or something else!) Being in an artistic/creative environment is a plus.
