Actuellement, nous sommes

Description

We met while travelling and have been together for 7 years. We built our relationship while volunteering at a number of projects throughout the world. More recently we have settled in New Zealand and are building our own paradise on a piece of leased land, we are however on the road again for a short time and would love to get back to volunteering.

Brad: I was a labour unit on farms and projects for a number of years and enjoyed repetitive tasks such as digging and splitting firewood, i have also always loved building things from recycled and natural materials. In NZ I have completed an apprenticeship in landscape construction so I am familiar with stonemasonry, concrete work, wood work and vegetation maintenance/installation. Currently
i am pursuing studies relating to ecology and ethnobotany. I'm a very curious person and a bit of a joker. I enjoy movies, hiking and being amongst nature, especially when there is a fire to sit around.
Lena:
I am a morning person !
Some of the things I enjoy doing most and am best at are:
-cooking, especially with fresh local ingredients
- taking care of animals (early morning milking sessions are my favourite)
- and anything to do with growing food.

I have a qualification in horticulture, specialised in outdoor vegetable production, while completing this qualification I have also gained alot of experience growing things in greenhouses and driving small tractors with trailers...etc
Working out a year round crop plan, preparing growing space, raising seedlings, planting and harvest are all tasks I have routine in.

I've always been a crafty person and usually do some crochet, carving etc. would like to learn as much as possible about traditional techniques of the countries I'm traveling and am happy to share what I know if you'd like to learn.
