Description

I am a practical, independent person with a background in hands-on, structured work environments, currently transitioning toward software development. My immediate goal is preparing for an intensive coding bootcamp (the Piscine) in Germany later this summer.

I am using Workaway to immerse myself in a new language environment and to find a focused, quiet space where I can split my time between helping my hosts and self-studying logic and programming. I am highly adaptable and comfortable in different settings—whether that means keeping a city apartment organized and looking after pets, or helping out with maintenance around a country house.

I am not looking to party or endlessly sightsee; I appreciate order, clear communication, and a calm daily routine. I find satisfaction in problem-solving, learning how things work, and being a reliable set of hands.

Maintenance & DIY
I am comfortable with basic woodworking, safely handling power tools, and tackling general DIY repairs around a house or property. I can also handle basic household plumbing and electrical maintenance—meaning I can fix a leaking tap without causing a flood or replace a wall outlet without getting a shock. I appreciate keeping a living space functional and well-maintained.

Nature & Animal Care
I am familiar with gardening and yard upkeep, having worked through the full seed-to-harvest cycle for common vegetables, fruits, and berries. (not on industrial farms) When it comes to animals, I am highly adaptable and enjoy being around both small household pets and larger farm animals. I have independently looked after parrots, hamsters, and dogs in the past. While I am definitely a cat person at heart and have a lot of experience living with them, I easily get along with almost any pet.

Digital & Tech
On the digital side, I spend my downtime focused on computers and technology. I am actively self-studying computer science, coding, and exploring AI tools. Because of this, I am highly capable of troubleshooting basic software and hardware issues, setting up home networks, or helping out with any digital tasks or administrative work a host might need.

In my free time, I am a consistent reader and like unwinding with a good movie. I am always up for a game of chess or Monopoly if the opportunity arises—though I make absolutely no promises about actually winning!

I also spend time exploring new technologies, I am highly independent and comfortable entertaining myself, but I am always open to sharing a casual evening, a board game, or a relaxed conversation.
