Description
Hello! My name is Blake and I am from Pennsylvania, USA! I would love to start my gap year by learning new things, meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, spending time in Nature, and traveling to new places. I want to make a lasting and positive impact on the world, my own life, and to the lives of those around me. I look forward to the new adventures that I will find through Workaway and the amazing people that I will meet along the way.

I have always loved traveling and experiencing new things. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and I am ready to venture out into the world of international travel and learn even more about the beautiful planet that we live on. I have a strong passion for nature and the outdoors and enjoy activities like biking, hiking, and kayaking. Along with having a passion for nature, I also love learning about our environment and would love to become a part of an ecological project through workaway to learn more about sustainability. I am also very interested in learning about and volunteering in hostels while using my skills in customer service.

I work very well with others and love collaborating as a team. I love talking with new people and sharing experiences together, so I am very excited to learn about different cultures and ways of life. I am a very hard working person and am willing to help out in any way that I can.

I am a very compassionate, helpful, and kind person. I look forward to gaining new perspectives through my experiences with workaway. I can't wait to see where my next adventure will take me and look forward to volunteering through workaway.

I have 2 years of customer service experience and love working with and around people. I am really good at communication, working as a team, writing, researching, any household tasks, organizing, planning and learning. I love learning new skills and look forward to widening my range of experience and abilities.

My experience with customer service (cashier, server, host at restaurant) has allowed me to use my sociable and friendly personality and find my love for helping others.

What can I say about this incredible hostel that hasn't already been said?! I spent a wonderful 6 weeks volunteering here and it has been by far the most amazing hostel I've been to. The great vibes, beautiful island, weekly BBQs, and most of all the people surrounding you that make you feel right at home.

I really enjoyed my 2 weeks volunteering here in Baños. The hostel has a really fun, laid back vibe and in a perfect location close enough to town, but far enough to have a quiet atmosphere. Blake was such an amazing volunteer, he is friendly, polite and always in a good mood! he is a really hardworker , helps with all the duties, cleaning, reception and doing activities for the guests, we glad that we had him in our team,it was sad to say goodbye! we highly reccomend him for any position he mighy apply for!
