Hello there!
I’m a 21-year-old girl from Denmark currently traveling aeound Northern America. I’ve been on the road quite a bit now and have reached a point where I would like to get a bit more under the surface of the places I visit. I’ve realized I really enjoy slowing down and staying somewhere long enough to actually get a feeling of the everyday life and the routines there. I spend a lot of time outdoors whenever I can. I love nature, hiking, and especially being around animals. I’m very down to earth, easy to talk to, and enjoy conversations about everything from random everyday stuff to deeper topics. I like using my hands, I’m not afraid to take on new challenges, and I’m always happy to help out where it’s needed. Mostly I’m just a really curious and open person who enjoys meeting new people and being part of different little communities along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve only had one Workaway experience so far, where I spent some time in Polynesia with a friend, but it gave me a really good taste of how the experience can be with the different types of work. I helped out with small renovations around the house - sanding, painting, and building simple furniture like coffee tables and bed frames - and I really liked working with my hands and seeing things come together. I also helped take care of animals and did a lot of garden work (I got surprisingly good at trimming banana palm trees!).
Back home, I worked for a year in a daycare, which taught me a lot in a completely different way. It made me more patient, flexible, and aware of how important it is to really listen and adapt to different situations. It also made me much more comfortable with just jumping into things and figuring them out as I go - which I think is a pretty useful skill in general.
I’ve always enjoyed helping out at home growing up, whether it was fixing something small or working in the garden, so I’m quite used to practical tasks. I have a basic understanding of tools, I’m not afraid to try new things, and I like learning by doing. I always love staying around the kitchen when my parents cooked and are therefore also very fond of experimenting in the kitchen with different cuisines and recipes. I enjoy keeping things tidy and organized and appreciate a nice, clean space. Overall, I’m just very curious, hands-on, and happy to help wherever I’m needed!

I really enjoy the simple things in life. I like getting lost in a good book (fantasy is my favorite), listening to music and discovering new artists or old gems, or just spending time outside in nature. I feel at peace whenever I’m around animals, especially horses, or when I can go for a long walk or just relax under a tree and take it all in. I’m someone who enjoys my own company, but at the same time I genuinely love being around other people - hearing their stories, learning from them, and sharing moments together. I’m very go-with-the-flow by nature and easy to be around, and I enjoy talking about pretty much anything. And if you have something you’re passionate about, I’ll happily be your biggest hype person!
