Hello!

My name is Alexandra, but I just go by Alex. I love to travel and have been saying for the past couple of years that Italy will be the next country I visit. I'm finally making that happen! I love to cook, and do it professionally for a wilderness lodge in the state of Maine. I was hoping to stay with a host who could teach me about Italian cuisine to broaden my culinary skills. I love good food and I love being outside, they are 2 of my greatest pleasures. I am so excited to see new places, meet new people, and create many wonderful memories.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I currently work as a cook at lodge in the north Maine woods. I've always been a passionate home cook and have been doing professionally for a year now. I do really love baking. At my lodge we make everything from scratch. I start my morning by baking that days sandwich bread for lunch, and the evening dinner breads. Baking wise I make cookies, cakes, lemon bars, cheese cake ect. I would say on average I cook breakfast and dinner for anywhere to 30-50 people. Please look through my photos to look at some of the dishes I have made! Personally I am vegan, but I cook for all. However if I would be fortunate it enough to find a vegan host that would be amazing!

I can also garden, do light office work, and have customer service experience as well.

***On a side note I am not great with children. To be honest they scare me and I am not sure how to interact with them. I am NOT well suited to be baby sitter.

Autres infos...

I just love being outside. I love to be out on the water either swimming or paddleboarding. I hike often on my days off from work. I enjoy camping. When I'm not outside I'm trying a new recipe in the kitchen, reading, or doing yoga. I picked up rock climbing as well a couple months ago.
