Description

Hello! We are Arina (20, Switzerland) and Jathen (22, Canada), and we are currently travelling in Europe. We met while travelling Thailand in 2024, and we have been together since. Together we have visited 12 different countries, and are currently continuing our travels in Europe. We both love spending time in nature and getting away from the busyness of cities. We spend a lot of time outdoors, going on hikes, camping, backpacking, viewing wildlife, and appreciating the beauty of the world. Jathen is an avid birdwatcher who enjoys photographing the wildlife and environments that he encounters, and Arina enjoys reading and relaxing in nature. We both love to learn new things, and we would be grateful for anything that you can teach us!

Arina is fluent in German, Russian, and English. She also can speak French at an intermediate level. Jathen is fluent in English, and has his B2 in French. He has been learning Spanish for the past year and a half and can speak at an intermediate level. Though we have no experience teaching, we both speak multiple languages, and we both have put in the hard work and time that is required when trying to learn a new language. I believe this experience would help us relate with those who are learning a new language, and it would help us come up with, and implement, strategies that we have found helpful when learning our languages.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Arina worked at an investment bank in Switzerland for a few years, so she is skilled with computers and is a great communicator with great problem solving skills. She has also worked as a cashier, and as a waitress in a restaurant, so she has a lot of experience with customer service and handling money.
Jathen has worked as a janitor cleaning bathrooms, irrigation specialist, roofer, landscaper, and as a park ranger. He has plenty of experience working with his hands, using tools, cleaning and maintaining properties. He has a lot of experience working outdoors in difficult conditions including the rain, snow, heat, hail, humidity.

We think our skills could be best suited for working with customers, doing garden/landscaping work, or general maintenance around the property. However, we are open to learning something new, and we are grateful for whatever opportunity may present itself.
