Apart from wanting to learn more about the Finnish language and culture, I am also hoping to study in Finland later on; perhaps something in my field or more education related.

Hello, I am Anthony and I finished studying not long ago. Currently trying to learn a new language as one of my hobbies when I am not working. I believe one of the best ways to learn a new language is by throwing myself into the place! It is also nice to set goal like this too, so that there is a bit more direction in the middle of a full time working life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Throughout my time studying Speech and Language Therapy at university, I have become experienced in working with children. To further develop my skills I also worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school for a year, volunteered in a homework club, and am currently working as a speech therapy assistant in schools/clinics. I have learned how to interact with different children, whether it is to do with play, how to communicate with them, or being a good loser in a game! (children like to see adults making mistakes!)

Besides my academic studies, I have also developed good reflection skills to monitor my development in various areas. For example, I would think about what motivates me to keep learning a language; or how to make my learning more interesting than what I had at school. In return, this skill has enabled me to be always prepared for learning new things!
