Description

We are a family of four from Germany: Anne, Thomas, Tilda (15) and Linus (13). We have had really positive experiences hosting workaway guests in our home and have decided to travel and share our skills, as well as learning from others, which has always been a great experience so far.
Over the last few years, we have refurbished our small wooden house using natural materials. We have learnt a lot about carpentry, clay plastering, and other practical skills in the process. In our garden, we have built a sauna and a treehouse for the children.
We grow vegetables and care for our fruit trees. We are interested in market gardening, permaculture, and forest gardens as sustainable ways of producing food, that leave room for biodiversity and do not overexploit natural resources. .
Thomas is self-employed in garden planning and maintenance. Anne works in sustainable food systems and agriculture.

We are used to hard work and would describe ourselves as easy-going, simple people with a good sense of humour, and we are curious about people's lives in other cultures and places.
