Hi, i`m Anna! I recently graduated school and would love to spend a gap year meeting new people from all around the world and exploring other countries and cultures before starting university!
Growing up in a multicultural household has been a significant part of my life: my mother is Greek, my father Italian and I was born and raised in Germany. My family background has sparked a deep appreciation for the beauty of different traditions and ways of life in me and since birth, i`ve felt lucky to be immersed in different cultures.
Art and music are two of my greatest passions with dancing taking the lead as my favorite form of expression. But besides dancing I love playing the piano, listening to music, drawing, writing, reading, photography and videography - so creativity is definitely a vital part of who I am.
Furthermore, I have a deep love for animals and nature. Being surrounded by the outdoors and connecting with animals brings me immense joy and peace which is why I also enjoy activities such as going on walks, hiking, camping, meditation, yoga - and of course traveling.
To give you an insight into my persona, I asked my friends to describe me only using one word and their top picks were: kind, caring, social, adventurous, empathetic and funny.
I`m very excited for this journey and can’t wait to meet interesting people and constantly learn new skills through exchange! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have always been surrounded by a large family which has naturally made me good with kids. Growing up, I was often the go-to babysitter for my little cousins, as well as the siblings of my friends which allowed me to develop caregiving skills and a knack for keeping children entertained and engaged. I enjoy teaching kids new things, from playing the piano to crafting fun projects and I am also capable of teaching both German and English, thanks to my academic background. I graduated with A-levels in Art, German, and English, subjects that have encouraged my creativity and love for language. During my school years, I was often the person my classmates would turn to for last-minute revision sessions and i`ve always enjoyed helping people.
Beyond babysitting, I have also spent time dogsitting for friends and neighbors. Having grown up with a dog myself, I’ve always been comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them.
I have also been dancing at a competitive level for several years and have taught my own dance classes. This experience has helped me develop discipline, leadership skills, and the ability to connect with students of all ages, helping them grow their confidence and skills in dance.
Moreover, I began working at my mother’s law office when I was 14, where I sorted and organized papers and cleaned :)
