Hi! My name is Annika, I’m 18 years old and I just finished school with my Abitur in Germany.

At the moment I’m still figuring out where life will take me next; whether I will start university in October or take a gap year to travel and work abroad first. Before making that decision, I would love to gain new experiences, meet inspiring people and discover different ways of living.

I’m a very open-minded, extroverted and curious person. I love getting to know new cultures, languages and countries, and I enjoy challenging myself and trying new things.
I love hiking and exploring new places. I really enjoy most sports and would love to learn surfing someday. Also, I'd like to learn Italian!

I'll be in Italy from the end of July til the beginning of September and would love to meet some new people and maybe even someone to help me learn basic Italian skills. I'm staying near Parma, yet I would enjoy visiting some surrounding cities.

I‘d say I can speak English almost fluently (C1-Niveau) and my mother tongue is German. I have learned French at school (B2-Niveau) but have trouble speaking it myself. I‘m open to help others with learning English or German and also willing to learn a different language myself and improve my skills. I'd love to learn Italian. My first workaway will be in Italy; I've spent many vacations in tuscany and would love to learn to communicate with locals. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

For many years I have worked with children and teenagers. I was a mentor in homework support for about one year and helped younger students with learning and organisation. I also worked as a gymnastics coach for competitive children’s groups and as a trainer in a children’s sports school.
At the moment, I work in gastronomy. I enjoy practical work and helping behind the scenes wherever support is needed.
I also have experience with animals. I volunteered at an animal shelter where I cleaned, helped care for the animals and walked dogs. I grew up with dogs and turtles myself.
Through my family, I also have some basic experience with manual and outdoor work.
I have additionally helped at motorsport events.
I’m always open to learning new skills and trying work that is completely new to me.

Besides sports, I really enjoy discovering new places and landscapes, especially through hiking and being outdoors. I love nature and spending time outside, whether it’s in the mountains, near the ocean or simply exploring somewhere new.
I’m also very passionate about music and enjoy going to concerts and live events. I love sharing experiences with other people and trying new things. With my friends, I often do different activities together like game nights and festivals to wine tastings or spontaneous trips.
