Description

Travelling is what brings us the most joy and we love to experience other people’s countries and cultures. We met working at an American summer camp in 2017 and have combined our passions ever since. We’re both very hard working, kind individuals and can’t wait to have unique experiences and help other people on an international scale once again.

Amy loves live music, reading, cups of tea, and being around dogs. She is a keen volunteer and likes to get involved with good causes.

Aled loves all things sport and has played Ultimate Frisbee for 7 years. He also enjoys video games, coffee, and being a foodie.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Amy:

- Native English language speaker.
- First Class undergraduate degree in English.
- Previous working background in marketing, with strong administrative/computer literacy skills from all previous jobs and personal interests.
- 10+ years of voluntary work experience with Girlguiding as a leader (I'm a keen camper/outdoorsy individual!), a hospice, and a local food bank.
- I hope to one day be an English language teacher, and have done paid and volunteer placements in this sector for several years so being friendly and chatty is a skill I hope I possess!

Aled:

- Native English language speaker.
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics.
- Fluent Welsh language speaker (my native country).
- Previous working background in office administration, logistics, education, warehouse work, and hospitality (including management).
- I hope to own a pub/bar one day, and have gained many years of experience in this field, learning all aspects of the roles including the hard work behind the scenes.
- I love all things sport and have coached this at a summer camp, and pursue it in my own time. I played ultimate frisbee at varsity level at university.

Together we have completed 2 summers working as camp counsellors at a large summer camp for children in America. Aled went on to do a 3rd summer in a management position. Our shared voluntary experience comes from Worldpackers over the last 12 months. We worked at an eco house doing everything from gardening and landscaping to concreting, creating drainage systems, and painting. In April 2023 we also taught English at a school in Vietnam, preparing high school and university students for their English exams.
