Description

Hello! My name is Alexxis and I am originally from California in the United States, but have also lived in Spain for 3 years. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
I consider myself a curious and open-minded adventurer, always willing to learn new things and see new perspectives of the world. I am open to all types of people, cultures, and experiences that can teach me new values. I consider myself a very spiritual person, and always come from a place of kindness and love, especially in community.

Some of my passions include: cooking, arts and crafts, music, nature, and childhood education. I love to cook, especially for others. I have cooked for a handful of intensives (retreats) as a nomad chef for Tarzan Movement.
I have always been an artistic and creative person. My joys range from jewelry making, pottery, DIY projects and much more.
Nature is a HUGE part of my life. I enjoy hiking, camping, rock climbing, tree climbing and much more.
I worked in early childhood education for 3 years, and I strongly believe that teaching in a holistic way at a young age is very meaningful and important in life.

I have a strong work ethic and am extremely patient. I strive to do tasks in the best way I can, with love, intention, fun, and some occasional singing and dancing!

I have a bachelors degree from the University of Oregon, and worked with OTOXO Productions in Barcelona. Therefore, I have experience with photography, video making, editing and documentary filmmaking.

The world can feel like a large, intimidating place, especially in the present moment. While the future is very uncertain, I am certain that I would appreciate the novel beauty and essence that various places, faces, sunsets and lessons offer.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I very much enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, music, teaching, outdoor activities as well as photography, video making and editing.

I enjoy painting, making jewelry, and working with ceramics. With the right tools and company I can create and teach these trades.

Food is a very important aspect of my life. Growing up, I would always be in the kitchen with my grandmother/ my parents. I come from a big family, so big traditional meals (often Mexican inspired) are a common theme. There is no limit to what I will attempt to cook, from Indian inspired curry, to Tibetan dumplings to, Mexican enchiladas made from scratch and even home made bread or cinnamon rolls. The possibilities are endless, and I love to cook and learn to cook new dishes from all parts of the world.

I have experience teaching children english, music, and arts and crafts. I believe that teaching children to be creative and encouraging them to learn new things is essential and fun!

I try to be outdoors as much as I can. Enjoying the beauty that nature has to offer is another essential aspect of my life. I like to hike, camp, rock and tree climb. I also have some circus skills (juggling, slacklining, acroyoga).

I have a bachelors degree in journalism, with experience in photography, video making, editing, and documentary making.

I am always open to learning new trades and teaching them to others if and when given the opportunity to!

I believe in self care and love. I have daily rituals that I practice (daily affirmations and gratitude, cacao, yoga, climbing etc.).
I am overall an active person, but know when to respect alone time, silence and stillness for myself and others.
Good company, good food, good music and lots of laughter are the simplest, yet most comforting things in life.
