Description

Adam: I'm passionate about exploring the outdoors, especially on my road or mountain bikes. Having lived in the United States my whole life, I relish the opportunity to experience other cultures and the sense of community different lifestyles create. Traveling has reinforced my belief that there are alternative ways of living, more in touch with nature and each other, than the typical American corporate rat race. I'm spending 2022-2023 working part-time and traveling. So far, I've visited the French Alps and Riviera, Ecuador (and the Galapagos Islands), and the Rocky Mountains.

An ideal day for me would be a big bike ride in the mountains followed by a long coffee at a cafe in the afternoon sunshine.

Annika: I am a recently retired professional nordic skier with a passion for exploring new places and cultures. I grew up learning Spanish and would be excited to learn a new language or build on my knowledge of the Spanish language. My ideal day is a long outdoor activity in the morning, followed by a delicious brunch and a coffee (or two) , with productive working time in the afternoon and evening. I am an aspiring runner and cyclist and love spending as much time as possible outdoors in whatever way I can. My passions include taking care of animals (especially dogs), gardening, and reading.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We're both native English speakers. We don't mind getting our hands dirty, appreciate the value of manual labor, and are happy to do hard work outdoors. We have experience as personal dog owners as well as dogsitters for friends and family. Spending time with dogs, especially long walks or hikes, is a favorite thing to do. Both of us are good cooks and enjoy spending time in the kitchen (Annika is better though, my speciality is doing dishes.)

Adam - Experience in writing, social media content, and marketing. Good with computers and technological troubleshooting. Decent bike mechanic who can handle basic repairs and tuneups. Speaks some French and Spanish.

Annika - Aspiring gardener who enjoys growing both food and flowers. Intermediate in Spanish and excited to learn other languages. I'm a decent cook, enjoy working with animals and consider myself proficient at learning new hands-on skills .
