This is my first time on Workaway and I am so excited to be here! Two of my sisters have already done Workaway experiences, and ever since then I knew it would be something I would love to do.

I love adventure and want to see more of the world while experiencing different cultures in a meaningful way. For me, travel is about connecting with people, learning how life is lived in different places, and being part of everyday routines rather than just visiting as a tourist.

I’m open-minded, friendly, and eager to help wherever I’m needed. I’m really looking forward to learning new skills, sharing experiences, and taking part in a genuine cultural exchange.

I love to hike, snowboard, play sports as well as relax in nature and read. I’m always excited to try new things and step outside my comfort zone.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up on a hobby farm, so I’m very comfortable with farm life and physical outdoor work. We had a large vegetable garden, and animals to care for, including chickens,goats, cows and dogs. During the summers, I worked on fruit and vegetable farms picking produce and pruning trees.

If you need farm help, I’m familiar with the work and genuinely enjoy working hard outdoors. I still love gardening, especially flower gardens, and for the past two summers I’ve been growing dahlias.

I also have experience with childcare. I babysat weekly for family and family friends while growing up, and I’m now an aunt to my niece, who I happily look after whenever needed.

Currently, I work as a hairstylist and have been doing so for six years. I love that my work allows me to be creative and connect with people!

I recently bought a house with my sister, so home projects and renovations have become a big part of my life. I’ve been learning and doing a lot of hands-on work such as painting, basic renovations, and general maintenance, and I really enjoy learning new practical skills and seeing progress from my efforts!
