I’ve been a workawayer in Japan and cooked for 20 people (hectic as it was my 1st time experience), I’ve fertilised apple trees and cut down bamboos. Cleaned Onsen Pools in a Onsen Hotel, tidied up rooms in Airbnb hostels.
It was hard work but I had fun and made lots of friends :)

Zichong has helped us tremendously. He is hard working and always positive about his work. She is also very artistic, and during our stay we asked her to help us make signs, and she always did so with a smile on her face. She has a good atmosphere that makes the place relaxing.
We hope he will come back to visit us again.

It was definitely a highlight of my trip in Sri Lanka! 🤩
Not only that the temple is beautiful, the host Chandu put a lot of effort making sure that volunteers are comfortable and welcomed.

Zichong stayed almost 3 weeks. She is very polite and friendly, responsible and calm person. She helped us a lot with removing irrigation pipes , weeding, planting, ironing bed sheets and taking care of the dogs. We had many talks about the culture, history, farm and other topics which we enjoyed a lot.

Thank you to the team for the amazing 3 weeks. The project was fun and creative, schedule was healthy, and everyone I met was so nice :)
Highly recommend for anyone who’s interested in natural material building, you’ll get to learn so much from Xavier and Müge :)

Chong, was with us for just under four weeks. She was a delightful presence in the community, playful, friendly, conscientious, with not only a strong work ethic but a desire for excellence.
We were sad that she had another workaway to go to as she is fun to have around. Creative, engaging, generous in sharing her skills, an excellent cook.

Chong is a truly lovely person, always smiling and very kind. She is very thoughtful.
Her cooking is unbelievable everything she made for us we loved.
