Hello! My name is Yuna☺️ I'm from Tokyo, Japan and currently studying web design while exploring new perspectives on life.

I have always been fascinated by different cultures and ways of life. Though I have traveled to a few neighboring countries for short trips, I realized that visiting as a tourist is very different from truly experiencing a place through daily life. In Japan, I followed the conventional path of graduating from school and working, but I came to understand that the world I know is only a small part of what exists. I want to step beyond my comfort zone and immerse myself in different cultures, not just through books and videos, but by living and connecting with people directly.

What brings me joy is learning new things and embracing different perspectives. I deeply value mutual respect and the ability to appreciate each other’s uniqueness. Through Workaway, I hope to meet people from diverse backgrounds, broaden my horizons, and see the world in ways I couldn’t before. I also admire lifestyles that coexist harmoniously with nature, and I am eager to experience that firsthand.

As for my skills, I love cooking and prepare meals at home daily. I studied education in university, so I enjoy spending time with children and engaging in creative activities with them. I also have experience caring for dogs, cats, and hamsters. One of my dreams is to become a picture book author, and I regularly paint with watercolors. Currently, I am studying web design, and while I am still learning, I am excited to apply my creativity in various ways.

Above all, I believe in the importance of emotional and spiritual richness. While material wealth can bring comfort, I think true happiness comes from having a mindset that allows us to appreciate the simple joys of life. I hope to connect with like-minded people who share this belief and create meaningful experiences together.

I am looking forward to meeting hosts and fellow Workawayers who can share their knowledge, culture, and way of life with me. Let’s learn from each other and make wonderful memories!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Cooking: I love cooking and prepare meals at home every day. I enjoy making simple yet delicious homemade dishes and would be happy to help with meal preparation.

Childcare & Education: I studied education at university and enjoy spending time with children. I can engage them in creative activities such as storytelling, drawing, and simple games.

Animal Care: I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, and hamsters. I am comfortable feeding, walking, and playing with pets.

Art & Creativity: I regularly paint with watercolors and aspire to be a picture book author. I would love to share creative activities with children or contribute to artistic projects.

Web Design (Learning Stage): I am currently studying web design and learning about UI/UX. While I am still developing my skills, I would love to help with basic design tasks if needed.

I am a quick learner and always eager to try new things. If there are any other tasks that need to be done, I am happy to help and learn along the way!

Aside from what I mentioned earlier, I have many other interests!

I love music and enjoy exploring different genres from around the world, including indie rock, classical, ambient, pop, jazz, house, and psychedelic music. I’m always excited to discover new music, so if you have any favorite songs or artists, I’d love to hear about them! It would be wonderful to listen to music together or even go to live performances or jam sessions.

I also enjoy playing board games and card games, especially those that involve strategy and creativity. I love spending fun times with others, playing games, and sharing laughter, so I would be happy to join any game nights or group activities!

Reading books is another passion of mine, especially picture books and stories that spark the imagination. As I aspire to be a picture book author, I am always inspired by different storytelling styles.

Additionally, I have a deep interest in sustainable living and harmony with nature. I admire people who live in an eco-friendly way and would love to learn more about sustainable lifestyles, farming, and gardening through hands-on experiences.

I am currently learning English and would love to improve my skills through real conversations. At the same time, I would be happy to teach Japanese to anyone interested!

I am always open to new experiences and excited to learn something different. If you have any recommendations for local culture, traditions, or activities I should try, I’d love to hear about them!
