Hello I'm Xhekli or Xhek for short. I'm 32 and have lived in various nations. After my time in the military, I studied international relations, forensic psychology, and Spanish happily, but in daily life I realized that I can't work all day on the computer or be stuck at a desk non-stop. That's why I chose to move around, utilize my different language capabilities and travel the world. Which, now, I recently learned about workaway and other volunteering opportunities that fit my current desires with life.

My dream is to "change the world or die trying" as I always say, but there's a caveat to what I mean. I don't think of it as making some massive impact, but to consistently make life better and easier for those I come across. I think if enough of us spread good intentions and helpful deeds, with an open mind, we can all "change the world because we're going to die anyway".

I love learning languages, new cultures, skills, hobbies, and meeting people from all over. Due to living a lot of life in barely over a decade, I've come to see how we're all very similar with different flavors that impact our overall lives. That's why I'm happy to start workaway, expand my horizons and meet lovely people all over.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've been a generator mechanic, diesel mechanic, gasoline car mechanic, and worked with solid state devices. I can read wiring diagrams, schematics, and have experience soldering. I grew up doing minor construction work, nothing formal, and gardening and raising chickens. I've worked with many power tools, some woodworking tools, and some diagnostic equipment. I've taught a course on Small Engines and Electrical Theory, while in Papua New Guinea while assisting the Australian military.

I enjoy writing as a hobby, I love to write letters and I used to write poetry. I'm a life-long learner and spend my free time taking free courses provided by universities around the world. I love nature, in all its iterations, whether it be mountains, forests, jungles, beaches, deserts, tundras, really anything. The intricacies of machinery bring me joy and many other skills interest me that I'm hoping to learn. I'm a fan of board games, films, books, and museums, experiencing what this world has to offer brings me the greatest of pleasure. I try to be open-minded and not limit myself because I want to explore the world and the people that make it what it is today.
