Having spent the past decade working and travelling across different continents on the Working Holiday Visa scheme, Workaway allows me to continue this fashion regardless of age (yes I'm in my 30's...)

I have a passion for travel, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and learning along the way. 9-5 forever isn't for me!

Primarily, I am looking for a paid position to cover my expenses each month (car insurance, petrol, phone contract, beer money etc) so please by aware I will favour those more.

Now for a little information about myself

- I am 35 years old and originally come from the Ribble Valley in England, UK. However, I am a dual citizen with my mother being German, this allowed me to obtain a German passport and therefore easier to travel and work throughout Europe.

- My mother tongue is English, however I do possess some understanding of German and this is something I would be keen to improve. Once I have mastered this, Italian, French and Spanish are other languages I have an interest in learning.

- I am a fully qualified electrician and have spent over 5 years working in this role before going on to study a degree in Law. I am also a Structural Landscaper, capable of building decking, log cabins, pergolas, paving, retaining walls etc.

- During my time travelling and working in Kenya, Dubai, Australia, Malawi and Canada, I have picked up more skills within the construction industry, be that structural landscaping in Sydney, Fire Alarm system safety in Banff or Project Management in Zomba, Malawi.

- On a personal note, I do enjoy photography/videography and am a professional drone operator, having turning it into full time work, whilst also flying FPV drones. I also love anything outdoors, hiking/camping/outdoor activities either on the water or on a ski hill. I enjoy reading, personal downtime, or conversations over a beer/evening wine. I don't smoke or do drugs.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

The majority of my skills lie within the construction industry, having spent over 17 years working in various roles from an Electrician to Structural Landscaper.

- Fully qualified Electrician with over 5 years experience
- Structural Landscaping, involving swimming pool renovations, decking, log cabins, paving/patio and retaining walls, over 8 years experience.
- Fire Alarm technician with over 1 year experience

I am more than comfortable in anything electrical, building decking, log cabins, paving, tiling, grouting, painting, roofing and will turn my hand to most things. Always willing to learn new skills.

I am a keen photographer/videographer and am a licensed drone operator having been lucky enough to make it a full time job.
I also love sharing stories, participating in a variety of sports/board and card games. Anything that doesn't involve a mobile phone really!
