Discovering new cultures through people and traveling
Description
My name is Virginia!
I am a creative, kind, happy person! I like to spend time with people and make new friends. I have met many people on the way, and they are always the best treasure of my travels. I love the idea of cultural exchange. I am delighted to be an ambassador of my Argentine traditions, and learn from others, about their culture, languages, and visions.
I also enjoy my time in solitude, meditating, and doing yoga. I am responsible and very committed to my tasks and activities, and I always work in accordance with my values and ideals.
Do you want to know more about me?
I grew up in Esperanza, a small city in the center of Argentina where everyone knows each other. It was the first organized agricultural colony in the country. Esperanza, which in English means “hope” was populated as a result of the promotion of European immigration. The first to arrive were the Swiss, Germans, French, and, Belgian. Later, a large number of Italian families entered to work these lands and to impregnate traditions and customs that make my town -and also my whole country- a melting pot.
I have always been enthusiastic about the idea of visiting other countries to learn about their traditions, languages, and worldviews.
I have work experience in different sectors, both public and private, and I have dedicated many years to volunteer service in the city of Rosario, Argentina, as well as in other places around the world that I have had the wonderful opportunity to visit and explore. I have teaching experience because I have also been a social sciences (philosophy and political science) teacher for young people. I am a cultural anthropologist (I studied in Budapest, Hungary) and I also have a degree in International Relations (Rosario, Argentina) and a bachelor's degree in Political Science (Rosario, Argentina).
My research interests align well with current academic discussions on decolonial and feminist approaches to understanding Palestine, as well as broader conversations about feminism in Islamic contexts. These perspectives offer critical insights into the intersections of gender, colonialism, and resistance in the Palestinian context and the wider Arab world.Centres d’intérêt
