Hi, I'm looking for several hosts during the Summer months to learn new skills in permaculture, gardening, farming, construction, land investment in Portugal and of course sharing time together :)

Hello!

I'm Virginie, a positive, sociable and enthusiastic 44-year-old French woman (with a British passport) with a young spirit :)

I live in Paris after 15 years abroad, mostly in the UK after some time in Ireland, Central America & Spain. I'm looking for a new place to live to make come true new exciting projects!

My great passion is travelling and getting to know new cultures. I left home at 18 years old to work in Dublin followed by 6 months in Central America which strongly impacted who I am and what I want in life (in a nutshell: freedom and being surrounded by different cultures).

I travelled alone quite extensively on most continents. I used CouchSurfing to meet locals and fellow travellers along the way. Still, Workaway is new to me and I'm very excited to meet open-minded people with amazing projects (how courageous! I had a look at Hosts before signing in! :-)

I'm an enthusiastic lifelong learner: I enjoy learning about people and new skills. I also believe that learning about ourselves is helpful to us, to others and to achieve whatever we want to do in our life. I've been exploring psychology, mindset and wellness for many years and it has been life-changing. Now I want to learn about permaculture, building, farming, gardening, investing in land, agro-tourism etc...to hopefully create my own home.

I love living outside and outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, cycling, etc..). My favourite thing to do is to eat outside and sleep under the stars :) I'd love to experience the van life one day! I'm active, enjoying the effort and the fun along the way.

What else? I love being in nature, laughing, dancing, working, having meaningful conversations, sharing meals, practising yoga & meditation, helping out, listening to people's stories, building things with my own hands, meeting new people, cooking, silence, music, children and of course animals!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have studied Hospitality Management & Marketing so I'm happy to help on those topics.
I'm also trained as a mindset coach in Neurosciences and as a yoga teacher so I'm happy to share my knowledge and organise yoga/meditation sessions :)
I used to teach French and babysit children for many years so I'm happy to help here. I also speak fluent English and Spanish and some Portuguese.
I volunteered several times during my travels at schools, orphanages, and people's homes.
I'm good at taking care of things, taking of people and animals.
