Violette :

My name is Violette.
I am the eldest of my siblings. I am 24 and this year I decided to leave my job behind me and go live my dream with my sisters, Jade and Colombe.
We are going to travel for almost a year, to the other side of the world, starting with South Korea, then Japan and Thailand.

I discovered South Korea thanks to my sisters. They were passionate about it and I needed to get closer to them. I started by listening to the same songs as them, then I became a fan of the same groups. I became passionate about its culture, cuisine, history, language.
They opened me up to this country that I didn’t know well and today we are flying together to discover it.

I am a designer. I studied animation, cinema and art history.
I was the head of an animation studio where I worked as a storyboarder and animator.
I lost sight of what I loved most : drawing. I would like to take advantage of this trip to reconnect with my passion, paint the landscapes I see, draw the people I met.

What I love above all is losing myself in the contemplation of an artwork. Leaving a cinema satisfied with having seen a great film, then talking about it with my friends over a good beer. Reading a novel for hours, not being able to put it down even if it's late and my eyes sting with sleep. Crying with laughter with my family, because it’s too late to play tarot and we’re tired. Try with my pencils to capture a look, an expression, and draw it down on a sheet of paper. Going to the market with my lover, cooking for a long time and eating too late. Climb a mountain, come back down, and sleep in a tent next to a stream, lulled by the sound of water and cow bells. Listening to music way too loud with my dad in the car. Getting up early and watch the birds in my parents' garden.

Here's a little bit about me, I hope it gives you a little insight into who I am. I look forward to meet you, discover you, discuss with you, and share our cultures.


Colombe :

I'm the youngest of my family and I'm 18 (french age) this year. I wanna take a break in my studies before entering in higher education. I've decided to take this break because I still wanna take time to learn more about this world, life and myself before choosing my future.

I'm still young but this is also one of the reason I want to travel. I want to grow up, built myself through my own experiences but also the experiences of the other. Because I firmly think that every person in this world have a story to tell we could learn from, mistakes or success. I also have stayed around the same places from now on but I know that there are some pieces of me waiting for me to find them somewhere in this world.

The world is vast and yet most of the time we only know what's surrounding us which I think is such a shame regarding how much we still don't know about this world we live in. About its beautiful landscape, its fauna and flora, its people and their culture so differents from one to another. Their have their own language, traditions, food, music and most of all, they all have own daily life i'd love to discover. That's why I would love to learn all of this with you, with my sisters or by myself.

We only live once so I wanna make all my days count with a positive mindset, a head full of dream and an infinite hunger for the unknown. Each time I travel I feel like i'm owning my life, like I make it fully mine and I became addicted to this feeling as small as it could be. This feeling of watching an unfamiliar scenery go by thought the window while listening your favourite playlist in your headphone. It just brings so much happiness. Just like talking endlessly with my sisters, hugging my father, kissing my mother and teasing my brother. Just like watching a drama until late cosy in my sofa with my two cats on my laps while drinking a hot chocolate. Just like eating my favourites dishes or discovering a new one. Just like all the little things I've learned to appreciate in my little life and I still have to discover through this travel !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Violette :

I was a team leader in my studio. I am able to manage groups and projects, and I know what it is like to have heavy responsibilities and to be organized.

I am very good with my hands, I can draw, paint and tinker. I really enjoy refinishing furniture in my free time.
I learn very quickly, no need to explain twice.

I am sporty, I do rock climbing and rock dancing. Physical and outdoor work does not scare me. I previously worked on a vegetable farm. I woke up very early and worked hard in the heat.

I really like contact with animals. I have two cats that I adore. My parents live in the countryside where there are a lot of farms. When I was younger I would go to my friends' farm to help, feed the sheep, drive the flocks and give birth to the lambs.

I have already looked after children and I love their contact. I have a lot of imagination, I can easily keep them busy with lots of activities.

I am also a good cook. I would be delighted to introduce you to French dishes if you wish.


Colombe :

I did gymnastic for almost 11years (including in competition) and I currently work out. So thought I might not able to do more than 10 push up i still can help you with physical work.

This also concern outdoors work since I like being in contact with the nature and i enjoy taking the fresh air.

About animals I've always had cats at house I took care and it really don't fell like a chore for me. I love spending time with them and that include any other animals.

I have a passion for art, mostly for watercolor, portraits, painting, embroidery, for playing the piano or the kalimba .. to summarize i just love using my two hands to create any beautiful things.
