Hi and welcome to our profile!

Our names are Victoria and Jenna, and we have been best friends since kindergarten! We love exploring new cultures, meeting new people and having fun while doing it! Helping others and contributing to a community in any way gives us both purpose and a sense of fulfillment — especially when we can leave a place a little brighter than we found it :)

We love spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, enjoying the beach, or simply going for a walk in nature. We also feel energized when working with kids and youth, being creative, or learning something new. Traveling has been such an empowering part of our life, and we are so excited to keep growing through Workaway!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

The both of us have obtained our Bachelor of Arts from a reputable Canadian University and are looking to further our education after our time spent abroad. We have extensive experience working with children, providing customer service and volunteering in our local communities.

Jenna- I have a love for helping people and experiencing new things! I went to university in Canada for my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my next goal is to get my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I have been nannying/babysitting children for 10+ years as well as working in hospitality as a server and bartender. Throughout my studies, I have gained lots of volunteering experience with children in schools , clinics, and in programs that work with adults with disabilities. Some things that make me happy include being active, cooking, travel, creative projects, and most importantly spending time with the people I love! I am very flexible, adaptable and love to learn new things, so I am looking forward to helping out my future Workaway hosts in whatever way I can. My best friend (Victoria) and I are a fun, reliable, and hard working duo and cant wait to learn more about your opportunity!!!

Victoria: I have always had a passion for kids and a passion for travel. I grew up in a Portuguese family that valued hard work, good food, family time, and spending time as a family travelling together. I knew very early on that I wanted to experience different cultures, so after I graduated from university, I went on to be an Au Pair in Italy and lived there for 8 months. I travelled all over Europe, met such amazing people, and enjoyed every moment. Having this opportunity changed my life, and being able to experience it with children made it a dream come true. I've always loved kids and their perspectives on life, and I am excited to further my education and become a teacher after my time abroad next year. I was a contract nanny throughout high school and university, as well as had experience working in education, customer service jobs, restaurant environments, and volunteering in schools and clinics. I love helping people and creating positive impacts on people's lives. The experience to travel with Jenna before we both return back to school is something I am so excited about, and I can't wait to see where we end up !!!
