Description

We, Maia and Valdemar, are a Danish couple currently cycling from Denmark to Istanbul through Europe. On our way, we hope to meet new people and experience local places and culture.

We’re both interested in simple living and sustainability. Back home, Maia owns a small plot with a simple off-grid hut, where we plan to move in next spring. For this, we would love to learn more about gardening and organic farming.

Normally, we sleep in a new place every night, which is why we are hoping to stay and learn with locals. We’re looking for some in-depth learning of the local culture and are hoping we can share some of our Scandinavian culture as well.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Valdemar grew up on a farm with horses, sheep, chickens and many other animals, but also a very big vegetable garden. He has experience working the various jobs that occur on a farm and also some construction experience. Before we left on this trip Valdemar finished his bachelor in geography.

Maia is a very creative person, who loves to draw and is an expert level-knitter making her own designs. She loves gardening and creating cozy spots in the garden to enjoy a nice summer day and is seeking inspiration for her own plot of land back home. Before we left, Mai finished her bachelor in anthropology.
