Hi! We are a couple from Paris . We took the year off to backpack through South America. We look foward to opening ourselves up to new cultures, people, experiencesand discovering the world together.

Hi :)
We are Laurent and Aurore, a couple from Paris. We took the year off to backpack through South America.
We are here to share our skills and experience with others, in doing so we hope to open our minds to new cultures and ways of life.

From Aurore's point of view : Laurent is the kind of guy who gets along with just anybody. He is a problem solving genious who works wonders for anything involving handywork, manual labor, concept or project creations, and anything to with humans and animals. He is a goal-oriented person who works hard to achieve good results in the tasks at hand.

From Laurent's point of view : Aurore is a very caring person, and the best cook that I know. She is a french cook and also a pastry chef. She is good at analysing issues and at organisation in general. When she sets her mind on something, she looks like a tornado and will work hard until she achieves her goals.

In general, we have an enthusiastic and optimistic mindset as well as a sunny disposition. We are both friendly and happy to learn new skills, try new experiences and to open ourselves up to new people and cultures.

LAURENT :

Personnal skills :
-Communicative
-Handyman (house repairs, building and repairing furniture)
-Knows how to take care of dogs (I love animals!)
-I am trainend in survival skills trekking, hiking etc
-Basic cooking skills (pasta carbonara, french quiches, fancy burgers, yaki soba...)

Professionnal skills :
-Electronics (not to confuse with electrician!)
-Industrial methods engineer
-Project manager (I love mutualising people's skills to optimise a project)
-Real estate (renovation, investment)

Generally hard working and enthusiastic, I especially enjoy solving complexe issues and working with other people


AURORE

Personnal skills :
-Pet care (especially dogs)
-Biligual in english and french, I still remember a bit of german and I'm learning spanish
-Sense of hospitality (I also went to a catering and hospitality school)


Professionnal skills :
-French cuisine and pastry (I have a diploma in both areas, and I am also skilled in asian cuisine thanks to my asian mom)
-Business and data analyst
-Project manager
-Business creation

Feeding and caring for people or animals is what I most enjoy in life. Bringing hapiness to others is what fulfills me most.

Laurent :
My girfriend calls me a geek, I say that I'm just passionate about video games and board games.
After several spiritual retreats in Nepal and Thailand, I am deeply involved in spiritual practices in my everyday life such as meditating and improving my mindset.
I am a bookworm, I especially enjoy books about spirituality, self growth, biographies, and books that help me grow new skills.
I have alreading backpacked through asia for a year. That's how I fell in love with hiking, trekking, and backpacking. Putting on my backpack and travelling the world is my life's dream. I especially enjoy hiking for several days immersed in forests and moutains.
But I think my favorite thing to do in this world is to meet and share experiences with people, and let's not forget our furry friends ;)

Aurore :
In my life, friends an familly are the most important. It's thanks to them that I was able to become the person that I am today.
I am passionate about traveling. Most of my childhood was spent abroad traveling with my familly. We got to live in France, Japan, the USA and in Vietnam.
My mom's the best cook I know. She's the one who gave me her passion for food, which pushed me to go to a french cuisine school and later on to a french pastry school. I'm all about food! My favorite thing to do is to go to the market and get inspired by beautiful products to create a new dish.
I love reading and watching series, whether it's to learn about something or just to chill out. What makes me hapiest is to simply spend time with my loved ones, and if possible, to cook for them!
